Tethered

Whispers will plague your ears if you fail to fill them with the strength of your own voice. Your own ability to decipher what is valuable. Otherwise, you are condemned to be pulled here are there by this world. To be disgusted by this and overjoyed by that which is not if you. We are instructed to love, hate, and lust over many things…but have you sat down, had a conversation with yourself, and listened honestly, openly, truthfully? Of all the unimportant noise around us, the commotion of cars racing past that surrounds us, the hum of the vents in our air-conditioned homes, the sound of laughter, celebration and mourning that is about nothing that you own…what is tethered within you so deeply that it also compels you to move? What do you hold onto?
